We Survived...

Well, our little son was a pretty good traveler all things considered. But sleeping only 8 hours total out of 24+ hours worth of traveling, he was pretty tired!

The worst part was that it took us 3 hours (from 9pm to midnight) standing in line for "passport control" once we finally got into Dammam KSA. Customs was easy, but we didn't get to our lovely host's home until almost 1am. Of course that's their time, but after traveling so long I'm not sure we knew what time it was.

Thankfully both our flights were only about two-thirds full so we were able to have 4 seats and Cory could spread out rather than having to sit on our laps. Unfortunately he was so jazzed by all the traveling and things to see that it took him forever to fall asleep... so he would fall asleep right before we had to either get off or on the planes.

We didn't get up until noon today and we're going to bed early, but after this we have all kinds of activities planned. And I hear there's a shamal coming. It's a sand storm, which I have never experienced so that should be fun...

It's really a bliss to have some seats to yourself, especially on long haul flights!
